In December 2025, I authored The River's Promise, a storybook recounting the Narmada Bachao Andolan, a grassroots social movement in India, headed by adivasis, farmers, and activists, who opposed the unilateral imposition of development projects like dam construction across the river’s length. The book explains the cause of the movement, its methods, context, and impact, focusing on the movement’s activism and community spirit.
In December 2025, I authored and designed Saving the Dream of Narmada. The story follows Maya and her friends as they visit a nearby river on a school excursion and learn more about the life cycle of a river and its impact on sustaining local communities and ecologies. The storybook also explores the efforts of the local villagers who face devastating impacts as a result of the intensive amounts of pollution in the river water. At the end of the trip, the Maya and her friends pledge to take small steps to help in water conservation.
In May 2026, I developed a simple method for constructing a DIY water filtration system suitable for household use. I then simplified the process into a step-by-step activity book for students to follow easily with readily available household materials. These steps were also accompanied by application-based exercises for students to learn concepts of filtration and sedimentation as they built the filter.
I also translated the activity book into Hindi.
In July 2026, I authored an original handbook that elucidates the processes involved in recruiting volunteers and organizing large-scale clean-up drives. The handbook explores topics such as ‘How to Organize a Clean-Up Drive’, ‘How to Recruit Volunteers and Foster Interest in a Cause’, and ‘Tips for Handling Unexpected Glitches at Events.’ It aims to equip volunteers with the basic knowledge necessary to run and expand the volunteer network and host cause-related events.
